Here it is, folks. The schedule Memphis craft beer lovers have been waiting for…

Memphis Beer WeekBudweiser of Memphis has released the schedule for the 2013 Memphis Beer Week, and it’s going to be nothing short of amazing.

The inaugural celebration of craft beer goodness is April 21-27, culminating in the 4th annual Memphis Brewfest at Autozone Park.

The week is so full of beer events, you’ll have to pick and choose which ones to attend. The highlights include a New Belgium/Yazoo Brewing collaboration sour beer, a special Ghost River porter, tastings at grocery and liquor stores, beer dinners, firkin nights, pint nights, you name it.

Sunday, April 21

Hog & Hominy – Yazoo Cask-Conditioned Hop Project Event, 7:30 p.m, hosted by Ivan Chester from Yazoo Brewing Co.

Flying Saucer Downtown – Sour Hour Event, 4 p.m. Tapping the New Belgium/Yazoo Collaboration sour beer. Plus we will have Wayan Sour, New Belgium La Folie, Yazoo Sour Saison. All beers will be paired with local deserts from bakeries and pastry shops.

Flying Saucer Cordova – Sour Hour Event, 6 p.m. Tapping the New Belgium/Yazoo Collaboration sour beer. Plus we will have Wayan Sour, New Belgium La Folie, Yazoo Sour Saison. All beers will be paired with local deserts from bakeries and pastry shops.

Young Avenue Deli – Tapping the New Belgium/Yazoo Brewing Co. collaboration sour beer at 6 p.m. Reps from New Belgium and Yazoo will be in the bar to talk about the collaboration. Then there will be a Stone Brewing Co. event at 7 p.m., with tappings of Cali-Belgie, Old Guardian, Double Arrogant Bastard.  Stone reps will be on hand to talk about the beers.

Aldo’s Pizza Pies – Ghost River Noble Prized Porter tapping at  5 p.m. Come be one of the first in the city to try this great beer produced for Memphis Beer Week by Ghost River Brewing.

Sharky’s – Ghost River Noble Prized Porter and fixed-priced menu, all week long. The restaurant will be tapping up this limited beer-week release and pairing it with a menu item for a set price, available all week. Come try it out.

Monday, April 22

Hog & Hominy – Abita Firkin Night, 6:30 p.m. til it’s gone!! Tapping the cask-conditioned Jockamo firkin. Hosted by Bryan Brasher with Abita Brewing Co.

Flying Saucer Cordova – Stone Brewing Co. event, with tapping of Pale Ale, Cali-Belgie, Vertical Epic ’12, Sublimely Self Righteous, Double Bastard. 5 Stone beer flights, $10. Seated tasting event begins at 5:30 p.m. on the patio, hosted by Stone Brewing Co. Reps, pre-selling seats to this tasting in store. $3 Stone Pale Ale drafts all night.

Young Avenue Deli – Tapping Ghost River Noble Prized Porter, 6 p.m. Come out and try this wonderful brew created by Chuck Skypeck for Memphis Beer Week at one of Memphis’s premier craft beer destinations. Also tapping three Stone beers with reps in store for sampling.

Huey’s Midtown – 2-for-1 Yazoo drafts all day.

Alchemy –Tapping Ghost River Noble Prized Porter ay 7 p.m. with Ghost River reps in store for sampling.

Local Midtown & Downtown – Tapping Red Brick Brewing’s The Lost Years keg, 7 p.m., both locations.

Aldo’s Pizza Pies – New Belgium/Yazoo collaboration keg tapping, 9 p.m. Come try the collaboration sour brought to you by our friends at New Belgium Brewing and Yazoo Brewing Co.

Central BBQ Downtown  – New Belgium and Yazoo Beer Dinner, 6:30 p.m. Come try the New Belgium/Yazoo collaboration sour beer, plus other New Belgium and Yazoo beers paired with the famous Central BBQ cuisine. More info here.

Fox and Hound Cordova – Goose Island Tasting Night, 8 p.m. Come out and sample some of Chicago’s finest craft beer from Goose Island Brewing Co.

The Corkscrew (Liquor store next door to Blue Monkey Downtown) – Yazoo Sue Tasting, 4-6 p.m. Buy a Sue, keep the Yazoo glass!

Boscos – Happy hour tapping of Memphis Amber Ale cask.

Tuesday, April 23

Flying Saucer Downtown – Memphis Brewfest live remote, featuring festival organizer Martin Daniel. Come out and say thanks to the man that puts together this wonderful event every year, and have a pint with us. Also, will be tapping an Abita Vanilla Double Dog firkin, with sampling in store, hosted by an Abita Brewing rep.

Flying Saucer Cordova – Abita Firkin night featuring the Vanilla Double Dog firkin, hosted by Abita Brewing rep Bryan Brasher.

Huey’s Downtown: Tennessee Beer Tuesday! Half price Ghost River and Yazoo drafts all day.

Local Midtown – New Belgium food and beer pairing. Local is featuring a special chef’s appetizer consisting of Crab Toast with Sweet Thai Chili for $8. You can add a New Belgium Rolle Bolle or Ranger IPA with it for $10. This will run from 5 p.m.-close.

Sweet Grass – Stone Beer Dinner, 7 p.m. Chef Ryan Trimm is partnering up with Stone Brewing Co. reps to create a perfect event combining wonderful cuisine with incredible Stone beers. This event will sell out very quickly. Contact Sweet Grass for reservations.

Aldo’s Pizza Pies – Red Brick 17th Anniversary tapping, 7 p.m., hosted by Jason Topping with Atlanta Brewing Co.

Superlo on Spottswood – Abita in-store tasting, 4-6 p.m.

Cash Saver Midtown – Brooklyn Brewery in-store tasting, 4-6 p.m.

Joe’s Wines & Liquors – Stone Brewing Co. tasting from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sampling a variety of world-class Stone brews.

Buster’s – Yazoo Sue Tasting,  5-6:30 p.m. Who doesn’t want to come drink a beer named Sue?

Fox and Hound on Sanderlin – Goose Island Tasting Night. Reps on site to provide samples and talk about Goose Island, a great craft brewery out of Chicago.

The Beer Garden (behind Raffe’s) – Barrel-aged Sly Rye Porter tapping, 8 p.m. Don’t be late, or you won’t get to taste this one….always goes quick!

Boscos – Happy hour tapping of Olde Fool cask. Also, the Brewmaster’s Dinner starts at 6:45 p.m., costs $50 per person and features a special food menu paired with hand-crafted Boscos beers.

 

Wednesday, April 24

Jim’s Place East – Ghost River Noble Prized Porter tasting event. Rep on site to talk about and provide samples of the beer.

Felicia Suzanne’s – Blackstone Beer Dinner, 7 p.m. Blackstone Brewery owner Kent Taylor will be partnering with Chef Felicia to produce this incredible beer dinner that will sell out fast, once tickets go on sale.

Flying Saucer Cordova and Downtown – Glass for this night will be the 2013 Memphis Beer Week Glass. Will most definitely sell out quick, don’t miss it. We will also be tapping 3 awesome Brooklyn Brewery brands that night: Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Lager, Vintage Black Chocolate Stout, Vintage Monster Ale- WOW!

Fox and Hound Cordova – Rogue Dead Guy Glass Ware promo night, 7-8:30 p.m. Reps in store sampling and talking about Rogue Dead Guy. Buy the beer, keep the glass.

Buster’s – Belgian Beer Sampling Event, 5-6:30 p.m., hosted by Steve Barzizza.

Whole Foods – Yazoo Tasting Event, 4-6 p.m.

Cash Saver Midtown – Sierra Nevada Tasting Event, 5-7 p.m.

Ruth’s Chris – Yazoo Beer dinner 7 p.m, hosted by Ivan Chesterfrom Yazoo Brewing Co. An event showcasing great regional beer, and fine culinary cuisine from the Ruth’s Chris kitchen.

Joe’s Wines & Liquors – New Belgium Brewing beer tasting 5-6:30 p.m., sampling La Folie, Rampant IPA, and other fine New Belgium products.

Bardog Tavern – Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Event Tapping, with reps on site to provide samples and talk about the beer.

Central BBQ Downtown – Tapping Ghost River Noble Prized Porter. Every purchase of this beer gets a free Ghost River pint glass, complimentary of Ghost River Brewing.

Sweet Grass – Abita Firkin Night, featuring a Restoration Pale Ale dry-hopped firkin, from 6-9 p.m. Abita rep on site to talk about and sample the beer.

Local Downtown – Tapping New Belgium/Yazoo Brewing collaboration beer,  5-6:30 p.m.

Local Midtown – Tapping New Belgium/Yazoo Brewing collaboration beer, 9:30 p.m.

Bayou Bar and Grill – Sierra Nevada Torpedo tasting event, 7-8 p.m. Sierra Nevada rep on site to provide samples and talk about the beer.

Boscos – Happy hour tapping of Memphis Amber Ale cask.

 

Thursday, April 25

Alchemy – New Belgium Brewing Food and Beer pre-fixed menu event. Alchemy will offer different options that include a food dish with a carefully selected New Belgium beer for a set price.

Flying Saucer Cordova – Blackstone Brewery limited-release tappings, 6 p.m. Belgium Tripel, Milk Chocolate Stout, Hop Jack IPA – 3 brand new releases. Rep on site to talk about the beers and provide samples.

Flying Saucer Downtown – Blackstone Brewery limited-release tappings, 9p.m. Belgium Tripel, Milk Chocolate Stout, Hop Jack IPA – 3 brand new releases. Rep on site to talk about the beers and provide samples.

Joe’s Wines & Liquors – Belgian beer sampling, 4:30-6:30 p.m., hosted by Steve Barzizza.

Whole Foods – Brooklyn Brewery Tasting Event, 4-6 p.m.

Young Avenue Deli – New Belgium Brewing firkin night from 7-9 p.m. featuring Rampant Imperial IPA dry hopped with Centennial hops. New Belgium rep on site to talk about the firkin and provide samples.

Sweet Grass – Yazoo Brewing presents the Sweet Grass Sausage Party, 7 p.m. Chef Ryan Trimm will be working with Ivan Chester from Yazoo Brewing to throw this sausage party.

Aldo’s Pizza Pies – Abita Firkin Night, 6-9 p.m. We’ll be tapping a firkin of ZSB (Zac’s Special Bitter). Abita rep on site to provide samples and talk about the beer.

SOB (South of Beale)  – Blackstone Milk Stout tapping.  A very rare release from Blackstone Brewery out of Nashville.

Buster’s – New Belgium Brewing sampling, 4-6 p.m., including La Folie, Rampant IPA, Abbey and Tripel.

Tapas East – Yazoo Brewing presents beer and food event, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sampling of Yazoo products conducted by Yazoo Brewery representative.

The Beer Garden (behind Raffe’s) – Brooklyn 3 tapper! Buy the beer, keep the glass night, 8 p.m. Three awesome Brooklyn Brewery brands on draft during this event.

Café Society – Belgian Beer Dinner, presented by Austin Sawyer and David Spafford, 7 p.m. This event will feature a wonderful Belgian beer lineup that includes Hoegarden, Stella Artois, Chimay, Palm and Leffe (not available in the State). All of these fine beers will be paired perfectly with authentic Belgian cuisine.

Automatic Slims – Sierra Nevada beer dinner, 7 p.m. West Coast beer meets southern-inspired cuisine at this 35-person beer dinner.

Grove Grill – Ghost River beer dinner, 7 p.m., presented by a Ghost River rep, who worked with the chef to bring you this wonderful dinner.

Fox and Hound on Sanderlin – Rogue Brewery Night, 7-9 p.m. We will be sampling Rogue Dead Guy. Every Rogue purchased gets you a Dead Guy glass!

Boscos – Happy hour tapping of American Style Stout cask.

Mellow Mushroom – Tennessee Tap Takeover with beers from Ghost River, Yazoo and Blackstone.

 

Friday, April 26

Flying Saucer Downtown – The Golden Ticket Beer Sampling Event, 7 p.m. 25-person seated event, tasting 13 of the rarest and best beers we could find. Industry VIP, local craft beer enthusiasts, Saucer VIP – and maybe YOU. We will give away one ticket in each Memphis Flying Saucer location, see server for details.

Young Avenue Deli – Abita Firkin Night, featuring a Juniper Pale Ale firkin, from 6-9 p.m. Abita rep will be on hand to sample and talk about the beer.

SOB (South of Beale) – Yazoo Beer Lunch- $2 Yazoo pints until 4 p.m. $2o lunch includes app, lunch, desert, beer!

Buster’s – Brooklyn Brewery tasting event, 5-7 p.m. Brooklyn rep on site to provide samples of Brooklyn Silver Anniversary Lager, Black Chocolate Stout, Monster Ale and Sorachi Ace.

Cash Saver on Madison – Yazoo in-store tasting event, 4-6 p.m. Also, Yazoo growlers will be sold to-go. $8 for Hop Project #71 and $15 for “Rufus” sour collaboration with New Belgium.

Whole Foods – Sierra Nevada in-store tasting event, 5-7 p.m.

Boscos – Happy hour tapping of Memphis Amber Ale cask.
